As a way to assist in aiding those
having a problem with listening to a show.
Streaming music, what
is it.
Streaming music files are
played from our server. Therefore not downloaded into your
machine. This keeps the music of the musicians we feature
safe from free downloads. Our hope is after all that you will find
music you like and purchase from the artists featured. This is not
a commercial site and we make no money if you buy music. Just the
obvious way to support art. That being the case you must have a
configured and working player, and a player which will work.
Not a huge problem. The following players work with our streaming
format.
For PC's;
Windows Media Player, Jet Audio, and I understand Real Player,
though not confirmed.
For MAC; Quicktime
configured with Windows Media Player add on, and or Windows Media
Player for Mac. Free access to files and player may be found
here. If you are a MAC user and getting a page of code when
you click the link to the show. Go here
and follow the directions to stream via Mac.
Some common
problems
Problem: The volume is low.
Make sure you adjust both the volume controls on your speakers as well
as on your player. I usually have my player set to highest and use my
speakers to adjust volume.
Problem: I just get a page of coded stuff?
For
PC's; If you have one of the players listed above,
you just need to let your machine know to use your chosen player
when opening these file types. You may be able to open your
options section of your player and add the file types, .wmv and .wvx
If you cannot add file types through an options section do this.
Open notepad and save an empty file as test.wmv to your "My
Documents folder. Open notebook again and save an empty file as
test.wvx to your My Documents folder. Now go to your My Documents
folder and right click text.wmv and select open with. You should
get a choice to look online or open from a list, choose list. You
will see your player listed, if not just do a browse to find your
player. There should be a check box, once you select your player
that says, "Always use this program to open this file
type." Check that. Almost there. Go to your My
Documents folder and right click text.wvx and select open with.

users but....
If you have other
problems email me
with a complete description of the problem and I will research.
